A Note from the ConductorDear SSO Supporters,
As you surely know, this has been a really tough time. Certainly for everyone, but especially for performing arts organizations, such as the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra. We know that once the pandemic has subsided, we will have to work very hard to rebuild the orchestra. So unfortunately, difficult times still remain before us. However, we are already working to put together a series of concerts starting in the Fall of 2021. We fully anticipate that we will be able to invite you back into the hall to enjoy these concerts with us - so I am very hopeful. In particular, I really would like to thank you for your continued support during this time. We really are dependent on your support to see us through this time. Everyone in the SSO is truly grateful to you, and we all look forward to seeing you in person come this fall. FORWARD!! Travis Hatton Music Director Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra |

A Note from the Board of Directors:
Dear friends and family of the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra,
Out of an abundance of concern for the audience and members, the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will postpone its live performances, due to the concerns over the spread of the COVID-19.
The SSO will be in regular communication with updates about upcoming performances and event schedule, as it is unclear at the present time when our performance venue will reopen and return to normal operations.
The SSO’s decision to postpone its performances has been influenced by recommendations in general from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), City of Portland, ongoing official news reports, and an abundance of concern for what the organization can do to best ensure the well-being of everyone in the SSO community.
We encourage everyone in our music community to follow all health recommendations of the CDC, WHO, and the City of Portland concerning COVID-19, and to take great care of themselves to stay healthy and avoid contact with the virus.
As a nonprofit organization, the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra needs your financial support. A large portion of our annual budget has already been invested in producing this performance to you. Please consider making a gift to SSO to ensure we can continue producing performances in the future. You can make a one-time donation that will support our organization through this challenging time. (Click "Donate" button above)
This is unquestionably a difficult time for the citizens of Portland, the country, and the world at large. On behalf of the musicians from the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra, the board of directors and music director, Travis Hatton, we all look forward to the near future when we return to concertgoing as one of the many things we so cherish.
Please take care and stay healthy!
